The hair loss, which I am suffering from, is what I call the ‘L’ shape hair loss.
Why is it called ‘L’ shape Hair Loss? Let me explain to you.
I like to part my hair, combing to the right (in the past). During the balding stage, the hair line of the side parting will become broader and broader and also the top left ‘crop’ of the hair will soon disappear. Simultaneously, the top of the scalp, which at the time of us being infants is a small round circle, will become greater in radius, and with the surrounding hair around the small hole becoming sparser still, the circular spot on the top of the scalp will become a horizontal line and it meets the ever-widening side parting to form a distinctively ‘L’ shape… this is what I call ‘L’ shape hair loss as the balding patch ‘L’ is distinctly seen on the scalp.
Actually, this kind of balding is just an initial stage of male pattern baldness… soon the ‘M’ shape ever so characteristic of all balding men will form.
