The rising trend of hair loss was reported in the Sunday Times yesterday. The trend now points to more women suffering from hair loss with hair centre seeing 7 out of 10 patients being women.I observe that hair loss is not just a health problem confined to Singapore. Many people in other countries are facing hair loss too. But in Singapore, the incidence of hair loss seems higher.
I think it could be the ozone layer depletion causing more solar heat to hit all scalps. With Singapore being on the equator, more intense is the heat and hence it may result in more hair loss?
