Preventing Hair Loss - 5 Tips That Can Prevent Your Hair Loss

By: Bryan Len

There are some health problems that may not directly harm any body system or its organs but then too, they hold a great importance. This is because such issues are cosmetically very important. One of such issues is hair loss or hair fall. Here, the hair fall may not harm any body system or organ but socially, it may hurt one's feelings and may have effects on individual's look, beauty and overall personality.

Hair loss could be due to many reasons. In some, the hair fall is due to stress and anxiety whereas in others it could be due to hormonal insufficiency. Hair loss is also because of hereditary factors where a special attention is required. Let us now learn some basic tips for preventing hair loss.

Preventing hair loss tip 1: Do not comb your hair when they are wet. This is because when the hair is wet, its root is bit weakened for a while. Combing hair in this situation may induce more hair fall and hence to be avoided. Also, while combing hair, never use too sharp toothed comb and the comb should also be wide-toothed. Gentle hair set is required to prevent hair loss.

Preventing hair loss tip 2: Yoga and Pranayama is said to be technique that helps in preventing hair loss. However, to see results, one should perform it on a regular basis.

Preventing hair loss tip 3: Eat dark, green and leafy vegetables and fresh fruits that help in providing necessary nutrients such as vitamins and minerals that help in stopping further loss of hair.

Preventing hair loss tip 4: There are many herbs that help in preventing hair loss and hence can be adopted. Herbs such as shikakai, amalaki (Indian gooseberry), brahmi, bhringaraj, mehndi are few of the herbs those have been used since many centuries. Ayurvedic texts have good descriptions about these herbs and their role in strengthening the hair root and hence making them strong and shiny.

Preventing hair loss tip 5:
Massaging the head using medicated solution, gel, cream or oil is good to prevent further loss of hair. Ayurvedic herbs such as Amla oil, Bhringraj oil, Baadam oil are good to massage on the head on a regular basis. This helps in nourishing the hair root and massaging also improves the blood circulation in the scalp that means it gets nourishment.

There is nothing much to do about hair loss because of heredity. The chromosomes responsible for the baldness in men are located on the X-Chromosomes and hence, men are more likely to become bald as compared to female. When it is a question of genes anomalies, it is difficult to prevent the hair loss and ultimately, it can be treated taking the help of modern techniques such as surgeries (hair transplant) but again, for prevention, no modern medicine seems to have promising results. And that is why, a person whose father has baldness must be careful and nourish his hair with proper medicated herbal oils and should perform regular exercises and Yoga.
